Google announced on Tuesday, 13, several news related to the AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). In addition to a new “story mode” for the search engine, the company also revealed a tool that will allow you to browse websites without leaving Gmail.
The novelty is called AMP for Email, is in the testing phase and accessible only to developers. The idea is to create an interactive layout for emails that will allow the user to interact with messages in their inbox with more options than just clicking on links.
To do all of this, Google requires developers to host at least part of their websites on the AMP platform. This platform already causes websites to load faster on the mobile search, for example, since they are loaded by Google’s own server.
The company says support for AMP for Email will reach its own client, Gmail, as early as 2018. But until you can receive a super-interactive email such as Google promises, it will depend on the pace of adoption of the companies to the new format.
