Jess Cliffe, one of the creators of the “Counter-Strike” franchise, was arrested on Thursday, 1, by Seattle police in the United States. The designer was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
Cliffe has worked at Valve since 2003 after creating “Counter-Strike” along with Minh Le in 1999, from a modified version of the game “Half-Life”. He is also known to be the owner of the voice that emits radio commands in the original games of the franchise “CS”.
The designer was arrested in flagrante, still does not respond to the lawsuit, but was not entitled to pay bail to be released. In a note sent to Kotaku, Valve said it suspended Cliffe until more information was discovered about what actually happened.
Police have not reported further details of the arrest for the time being.
